We had a fabulous Easter Sunday. Mick and I hung around waiting for Izzy to wake up so we could see her reaction to her easter gifts and go on the hunt in the back yard. At 8 o'clock we ended waking her up. I thought she would be itching to get up but our girls loves to sleep in.
Waking her up
We headed down the coast to mum and dad's for the day. They organised another hunt. She said "i am so lucky that nanny and poppy were so kind to make another hunt for me" I love that she appreciates the effort and I loved that my dad gets into this stuff for the kids as much as mum.
Finding a stash hanging in one of the trees
Izzy's easter wish this year was a chocolate fountain. We set it up and it worked a treat. We had strawberries and marshmallows to dip. Mum poured the melted chocolate onto ice cream.
There was time for relaxing and afternoon sleep
An afternoon storm. It was beautiful to see the sun poking through the clouds to hilight some of the tree tops after the rain. The picture doesn't do justice to how stunning it looked in real life. The sky behind the trees was darker than the picture shows.
We arrived home after 11.30. It was a great day hanging out at mum and dads. The best part was when were all in bed after showers and Izzy yelled out from her room "Thanks for a great day mum and dad and thanks for my presents". I love that kid soooo much. What more could you ask for to end the perfect day.
Easter you were good to us this year.
